Whether you love or hate them, we can all agree white jeans are a classic spring staple. I know many people think they’re too hard to style, but I think with the right pieces they can be one of the easiest clothing pieces to wear. They can be dressed up or down, casual or dressy. When styled correctly, they can make a very easy, simple and cute spring outfit. Here are three quick and easy different outfit combinations to transition white jeans from a dressier daytime look, to going out, to a cozy day in.
Outfit #1: A Day Out (Jeans + Top + Sandals + Accessories)
This is a very simple look because there aren’t too many components. White jeans add a new take on this standard outfit combo. All you need to add is a simple top and cute shoes. Just stock up on a few different statement tops for summer and circulate them between a pair of white jeans, boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, shorts and a couple skirts and you have an effortless outfit each time.
Open-shoulder tops have been trendy for about a year now and while they were kind of hard to find last year, now they’re all over the place. One tip with these tops: try it on and make sure it doesn’t come up over your shoulders, it’s a very common issue and most of them do it. Try to find one that’s structured or loose enough so this problem doesn’t occur.
Outfit #2: A Night Out (Jeans + Tank + Moto Jacket + Boots)
(Peep my super wrinkly tank top that has not left my dresser drawer in 6 months.) This outfit is better for spring nights when it’s still pretty chilly and you’re going to be walking around a lot. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m known for never wearing clothes that are warm enough so this jacket is a responsible decision for me. It can be annoying to carry a jacket around, but walking around freezing all night is not worth the hassle.
The jacket and more low-cut top transition the jeans into a nighttime look that’s perfect for going out, but also casual enough for dinner or shopping. Swap boots for sandals when the temperature warms up, but for now at least you don’t have to worry about people stepping on your feet.
Outfit #3: White on white (Jeans + Chunky sweater + Cute booties)
Thankfully, this was the last outfit I put on because I ended up wearing this all night and it got very cold, very fast. This last look incorporates the all white or all one color trend so many people shy away from. Personally, I love this trend. I think outfits in all one color can look very chic if done correctly. If you wear all one color, make sure the shades don’t vary too much. This can make one item look dirtier or older, and can ruin the whole look. Try to switch up textures and accessories as well so it’s not too over-bearing. Lastly, fashion rules are dumb so wear whatever you want and wear it well. 🙂
