“Sweaters are just blankets you can wear to work.”

This is one of my absolute favorite sweaters. You know when you buy a piece of clothing, and so often it isn’t what you wanted it to be? You wear it and halfway through the day you’re itchy, uncomfortable, and you just want to go home and change. This sweater was an impulse buy and was so worth it. I was walking around T.J. Maxx trying to get just a couple things to update my wardrobe. I just wanted a few staples that I would wear all the time. I picked out things, tried them on, kept putting back things and picking up new ones and was getting nowhere until I saw this Free People sweater. It was $30 which is super cheap for Free People, but was still more than I intended on spending on one item that day. So I decided to get it and I put all the other clothes I had back and just went with this sweater. I figured I would regret it but I’ve worn it so often since that day. It has to be the comfiest sweater I own.

These pictures were taken in my hometown on the canal. We go back to visit family nearly every weekend and it is a picturesque photo location. Plus, you’re usually safe taking pictures because there are normally not that many people around. I’ve always hated when people were around and we took blog photos, for those of you with a blog, you know the struggle.

It’s now November which means….almost Christmastime! I’m usually the kind of person who is like “wait until at least late November before you get too excited for Christmas” but I just can’t help it I’m like Will Ferrell in Elf this year. Target has already put all their Christmas decorations out and I am so tempted to start getting some things! I put a “Merry Christmas” mug on our mug rack so we’ll see if Dave notices. Also, one of the radio stations I normally listen to is going to be playing Christmas music I think starting today, so it’s kinda fate.I’m also pretty sure Hallmark has started playing Christmas movies, so I’ll have to start watching those soon too!

This outfit looks so cozy and perfect for Autumn! I’m also usually one to start feeling festive later in the month but this year I’m so ready for the Christmas season πŸ™‚
