“Doubt is part of the creative process.”
Have you ever had a really hard time picking out what to wear? You probably have, because every once in a while everyone has those days when nothing seems to look right and you can’t decide what to wear. As I’ve previously mentioned, I’ve been a little…obsessed…with style books and magazines lately. I’ve always liked them, but recently I’ve been consulting them daily like they’re my best friend or something. I probably have a problem 🙂
Ever since I realized that I wanted to be a fashion journalist, it’s like I completely read the magazines differently, looking for things I would change if I had my own magazine, or at least any say. I’ve decided if I had my own fashion magazine, I would include a lot of street style photos, interesting editorials, and gripping articles about things the readers actually care about. Lots of magazines accomplish this, (my all-time favorite is Teen Vogue) but I would love to put my own spin on a magazine. So my newest dream/goal: start my own style magazine. Although I guess you could say I did the baby step to that in creating this blog, two and a half years ago. What is your dream goal?
Anyways, about the outfit, I have wanted a cute black quilted jacket for so long, and when Aeropostale let me pick out some of their items from their winter collection, I definitely couldn’t pass up this one! It’s really warm and adds a cool touch to this outfit! The boyfriend jeans, faux-fur vest, classic white shirt and boots make a very classic look, and the jacket completes it with the perfect amount of edge. Think classy meets sassy. Hiker meets biker.
I also kind of fell in love with these boots. They worked great for these outdoorsy pictures, but will also be so nice once it starts snowing (which is supposed to be tonight!!) Hunter Green is the new black. Actually, I have no idea, but it’s my current favorite color, so we’ll go with it.
