Let’s Hear it for the Boy

{Wearing: vintage blazer, f21 button-down and earrings, american eagle denim, envy shoes, scarf from flower barn}

Hey! So I’ve been busy recently with musical practices, and our musical this year is Footloose! I’m so excited, it has a lot of really good dancing and songs, and it should be a great show!

Ok so, I have a confession. I hardly own any heels! I have a red really high pair for school dances, and a couple pairs of heeled boots, but other than that, I’ve stayed away from them. I don’t even think it is because they are uncomfortable, because they definitely aren’t worse than pointe shoes! I think I had just preferred flats. Anyways, I am now taking baby steps into heels (haha) and I got these wedges. I love their color and that they have a strap, but I also like that they’re high, but wedges, so I don’t have to worry about falling 🙂

Do you prefer flats or heels? Or both?

Love, Francesca 🙂

    You look amazing!
I prefer heels, I have a hate relationship with ballet flats.
I love sneakers for my everyday running errand around than any flat.
    Happy New Month sweet!

Oh my goodness, this is definitely one of my all time favorite outfits you’ve ever worn! Those shoes are just soooooo pretty! May I ask how much they cost? I’d like to find a pair for myself…do they come in other colors as well?

P.S. I have a weird relationship with both high and low shoes. This is weird but I have rather low arches and so flat flats don’t look super great on me…but then heels aren’t so practical to walk in (except on special occasions)… so, ideally, I’m always looking for wedges like the ones you’re wearing here. 🙂

I was like that too! Flats were my go-to shoes:)! And your title just made me hum that song loll! Such a pretty look! I love your ankle strap wedges:)!

I am not much a heel-wearer either, but your shoes are the perfect in-between. Loving the urbane sophistication of this outfit, this look is very much my type of style, the blazer is so chic and I like the vintage feminine scarf with it. Also I want to specially thank you for your wonderful birthday wishes, it meant so much to me 🙂

Thank you for the kind comment on my blog- you look fantastic I love you scarf. Your shoes look amazing, amazing I personally prefer heels but they have to be the right sort of heels 🙂

    • February 1, 2013 / 6:20 pm

Thanks! And I agree, they have to be the right kind of heels, or I don’t like them!

  13. February 1, 2013 / 5:46 pm

Lovely outfit! I love the scarf!

Girl…this is one of my faves! I love the chic look you added to your jeans with the blazer and wedges. Those “baby” wedges are just perfect – fantastic choice to start off your integration into high heels 😉
Haha, I’ll admit, I went through a heel phase, but lately, I find them too impractical for school. College requires a LOT of walking. So I’ll stick to my boots and flats most of the time. However, if I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll bust out a good wedge or two. Haha, they’re more comfortable for a day of walking from class to class.

I love your blazer! and I like both heels and flats, as although heels are a little less comfy they make you so tall!

  19. February 3, 2013 / 11:14 am

You have the best vintage style! I’m loving your cute blazer. I prefer flats because I can’t walk well in heels, but heels are just too glam to pass up sometimes!
P.S. you vintage collar in the last post is just darling!

  20. February 3, 2013 / 12:19 pm

You have a really great style dear! I love this outfit.

Personally I always think heels are more beautiful and attractive but I end up wearing flats more often than I care to admit. Anyways, wedges are always a good decision 🙂

I’m a true city girl so flats are more convenient because city life includes lots of walking, jumping on trams etc. but at times I wear heels when I go out or go to a party. It depends on how much walking there is involved! I do love how heels look, in the matter of fact I have a pair of red heel shoes in our entrance hall on a shelf, haha! I think they are a piece of art..and after seeing the Wizard of Oz, I think all girls should have a pair of red shoes. But above all I am a ballerina lover. My boyfriend said to me the other day that he has never seen somebody having as many ballerinas as I have. And I have two new pairs for this spring that he hasn’t even seen yet!
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog! I would have liked to see you with bold lashes!
